Welfare Assistant (Grade 1)

Salary:                         £9.90 an hour (Foundation Living Wage)

Hours:                         5 hours a week (12:00 to 1:00pm)

Term                            Part-time – term time only

We are looking to recruit a Welfare Assistant to join our lunchtime team.

The successful candidate will be required to supervise pupils during their lunchtime break, Monday to Friday, term time only.

We are seeking a person who is hardworking, flexible, enthusiastic and caring with a desire to make the pupils lunchtime a happy, safe and fun time. This position is part time term time only.

Our ideal candidate will be able to: -

  • Supervise children during meal times and in the playground
  • Develop positive relationships with both adults and children
  • Support children in developing social skills
  • Help children organise playground games and join in their games
  • Be kind but firm when necessary and manage behaviour in accordance with our Behaviour Policy.
  • Help make our lunchtimes a safe and happy place for our children
