We set off at about half 12 to get onto the coach that was to take us to the tournament. The lads and I were all buzzing with excitement and anticipation. We had played in the playground with a football, but in a real tournament! Whilst we were driving we discussed our tactics and positions. I played mostly in midfield and twice in defence. We arrived at quarter to 1 to warm up and prepare for the games. Our first match we won 2-0 and I scored both goals! As I scored I felt overwhelmed with pride- I had scored for my school! We then drew 2-2 and later lost 4-0. But that only motivated us to a 6-0 win and after a while drew again 2-2! We didn’t qualify for the knockouts but we all had an amazing time. My favourite part was scoring the first goals for my team, it was thrilling!
